Description

Stainless steel sheet AISI 304 1.2x1000x2000 mm – 2B surface

Stainless steel sheet AISI 304, thickness 1.2 mm, dimensions 1000×2000 mm, 2B surface. 1.2 mm thickness is a popular choice when greater stiffness than 1 mm is required while maintaining ease of processing. Widely used in the industrial, construction, and food sectors.

AISI 304 (EN 1.4301) austenitic stainless steel with 18% Cr and 8% Ni. The material features excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance up to 870°C (short-term), and good weldability. The 1.2 mm sheet is ideal for sheet metal work: laser/plasma cutting, bending, stamping.

Areas of application

  • Casing and covers for industrial and food equipment
  • Ventilation system ducts, joints, collectors
  • Construction elements: thresholds, trim strips, frames
  • Electrical equipment boxes and cabinets
  • Interior trim for the transport industry (cars, trailers)
  • Components for the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors
  • Cutting according to drawings – laser, plasma

Frequently Asked Questions

Will 1.2 mm differ from 1.0 mm in processing complexity?

The processing is very similar – both are easily laser-cut and bent on machines. 1.2 mm is slightly stiffer, so the structures will be more rigid.

Is a certificate required?

Yes, we can provide a material certificate (EN 10204 type 2.1 or 3.1) upon request.

What is the finish/cutting of this sheet for the processed detail?

2B surface can be further processed: polished, painted, ground to the desired texture.
