Stainless steel sheet AISI 304, thickness 1.0 mm, dimensions 1000×2000 mm, 2B surface finish – one of the most popular formats for industry, construction, and the food sector. 1 mm thickness provides a good balance of rigidity and flexibility: the sheet is easily bendable and cut, yet retains its shape in constructions.
AISI 304 (EN 1.4301) – austenitic stainless steel type with ~18% chromium and ~8% nickel. Non-magnetic, excellent corrosion resistance, suitable for heated and humid environments. 2B surface is lightly matte, hygienic, and easy to clean – ideal for kitchen and food industry equipment.

Is a 1 mm sheet suitable for bent structures?
Yes, 1 mm AISI 304 is easily bendable on a press brake. We recommend a minimum bending radius of ~2×thickness = 2 mm.
Can AISI 304 sheet be welded?
Yes, AISI 304 welds excellently using TIG and MIG methods. We recommend AISI 308L or ER308L welding wire.
