Stainless steel glass holder AISI 316 (EN 1.4401), designed to attach to a 50.8 mm diameter pipe, glass thickness 10 mm. 50.8 mm = NPS 2" – larger pipe provides structural strength reserve; 10 mm glass – optimal for solid outdoor balustrades and glass guard systems according to standards. AISI 316 with molybdenum – increased resistance to chloride corrosion.

Is 10 mm glass better than 8 mm in terms of safety?
Yes, 10 mm tempered glass is more resistant to impact and loads than 8 mm. Recommended for large outdoor systems.
Is it compatible with a 48.3 mm pipe?
The holder is designed for a 50.8 mm pipe. 48.3 mm is a different diameter, a separate holder is needed (see ID 6269).
What type of glass is recommended?
10 mm tempered or laminated (VSG) glass. Laminated is recommended overhead or when planning for fragile breakage.
