Does AISI 430 rust over time?
In indoor environments, AISI 430 does not rust. In damp outdoor or saline environments, surface corrosion may occur.
Is it suitable for welding?
AISI 430 can be welded, but ductility decreases in the weld zone. We recommend using AISI 430 or ER430 wire.
