Is a 2 mm sheet suitable for pressure vessels?
AISI 304 is widely used for low-pressure vessels. For high-pressure systems, consult with a designer regarding wall thickness.
Can it be laser cut?
Yes, 2 mm can be laser cut and plasma cut. CO2 laser and solid-state (fiber) laser are both suitable.
Does welding shrinkage occur?
AISI 304 is welded using TIG/MIG methods. We recommend passivation after welding to restore corrosion resistance.
