What determines the price of stainless steel
The prices of stainless steel are determined by several key factors. First – the material grade: AISI 316 is more expensive than AISI 304 due to the molybdenum addition (usually +20–40%). Second – the product type: fittings (elbows, couplings, tees) have a higher added value than raw materials (sheets, pipes). Third – quantity: larger quantities mean a lower unit price; from 10 pcs. we apply a retail discount, from 100 pcs. – a commercial discount.
